I made a couple of cards using the TJ technique Sanded Whitewash (Aug/Sep 09) today. The basic idea behind the technique is to dry brush gesso onto colored card stock. Once dry run the c/stock through an embossing folder and sand raised areas to expose c/stock below.
I added another step to the technique by swiping the same colored ink as the c/stock over the sanded pieces. It toned down the pieces and made the affect more muted. The first card uses Dusty Durango card stock and ink for the technique. The main image is from Artistic Outpost.
The second card is a double challenge card for Gingersnaps: Color Challenge (orange, green & brown) & Random Redhead Challenge (thankfulness).

- Stamps: Serenity (Artistic Outpost)
- C/stock: Chocolate Chip, Dusty Durango, Very Vanilla
